      Sept 2007 - Feb 2008
Intern / graduating student (Diploma Thesis)

During these 6 months I got the chance to write my diploma thesis in a working environment. I did apply the Value Stream Mapping method on a chosen product family. My diploma thesis "Value Stream Mapping - integral analysis of production and logistic processes" was structured into a theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part the lean principles as well as the vales stream mapping process and tools in general were captured and explained. in the practical part the method was applied to a real production and logistics process. This process was visualized in a current state map, analyzed with the given KPIs, improved and optimized with the lean tool set and visualized in a future state map. My diploma thesis got the grade 1,3 (which is the second best possible following 1,0) Show less
