      Kwando Safaris has a network of safari camps in Botswana, each accommodating a maximum of 24 guests. Kwando’s primary driver of business is via agents around the world who market and sell Kwando Safari’s lodges. (B2B)---I was keen to further my international experience, and also was actively searching for a role which included managing a team. I was based in the head office, in Maun. In Nov 2020 I moved back to Singapore and continued in a part time capacity. During my time, there were changes to the company and the larger group it sat within, but for most of my time I had a direct report to the CEO. Towards the end of my tenure, the reporting structure became flatter and this included weekly dialogue with a member of the board. Before moving back to Singapore/COVID, I managed a team of 4 Reservations Consultants who work with agents daily on enquiries (availability, bookings and general questions about logistics, special requests, and differences between the lodges).       APAC Agent Relationship Manager

      As an Agent Relationship Manager, my role is to develop and expand partnerships with travel agents in the APAC region to drive mutual growth. More than just offering product trainings about Asilia's camps and lodges, my focus is to nurture the relationships between Asilia and our key accounts; and also identify accounts with growth potential. I look after the onboarding of new agents in the APAC region, ensuring that I am an accessible point of contact within their time zone. Being the sole Agent Relationship Manager in APAC covering New Zealand/Australia to India/UAE, including China/HK/SG inbetween, I am also tasked with identifying key geographies for strategic expansion and being Asilia's brand ambassador in the region. This is hardly difficult as I am passionate about what Asilia stands for! Asilia, as part of the Nawiri Group, has a shared goal: to help vital ecosystems in East Africa, and the communities that depend on them, thrive. We go beyond just donating a percentage of our profits. Our Impact Agenda is at the heart of where we choose to expand our lodge footprint and the ripple effects it has on the surrounding communities.
