  • Education

    • University of Maryland Eastern Shore

      1996 - 2002
Master's Degree Career & Technology Education

I started at UMES taking classes just to get my teaching certification. I also took several workshops at UMES for technology education (TELP). I started my masters in Career & Technology Education when it became available. I took most of my classes at the extension center at the Baltimore Museum of Industry. My masters research paper was on the history and development of the "Core Technologies".

      1990 - 1992
      Associate's Degree General Studies

Activities and Societies: Vice President of EMST (Engineering, Mathematics, Science & Technology Club). I also worked part-time in Media Operations at the college where I helped faculty with the photocopiers and AV equipment. I started college in the engineering program because it was the most challenge major they offered. It made sure that I took all of the math and science classes that I would need when I transferred into architecture. When I realized there where pre-requisite classes for architecture that PGCC didn't offer I transferred to UMCP a semester earlier then planned. As a result I chose to finish a general studies associates.

This gave me a year to get all of my general education classes out of the way before diving head first into architecture studio classes. It also gave me time to work part-time at a local architectural firm (Walton, Madden, Cooper, Robinson, Poness, Inc.).
