      ■ Computational modeling of dynamic fracture:● Performed crack tip stress modeling for benchmark stationary cracks under dynamic loading conditions.● Accurately predicted non-oscillatory dynamic stress intensity factors (DSIFs) by reducing the numerical dispersion error with Modified Integration Rule (MIR) and two-stage filtering.● Simulated moving dynamic cracks by implementing the Extended Finite Element Method (XFEM).● Devised and executed subroutines in MATLAB and FORTRAN.■ Finite element modeling of wave propagation in composites:● Developed finite element models of wave propagation in composites and functionally graded materials under impact loading.● Integrated the Reduced Dispersion (RD) method and the two-stage implicit/explicit time integration technique with the conventional finite element method.● Designed special non-uniform meshes resulting in 50% reduction of computational time compared to the conventional meshes.● Developed FEA subroutines in FORTRAN.■ High Performance Computing (HPC):● Solved 2D wave propagation problem using 5 million nodes in parallel processors.● Prepared parallel Pre-processor and Post-processor files.● Compared and optimized the number of parallel processors for the most efficient computational time.
