    • FP7

      Aug 1984 - Jul 2000
      Graphic Artist / Illustrator

Fortune Promoseven, advertising, marketing and public relations company with its head office in Bahrain. At that time it was the largest advertising agency in the Middle East. It was here where the transition for me to computers happened, an interesting and very exciting development. I quickly adapted to using Photoshop and Freehand and then Illustrator as tools of my trade, I was the expert in producing maps and illustrations, and soon enough was asked if I would be interested in joining a specially formed Design Studio within the company. I worked on the Cathay Pacific Airways, Philippine Airlines and Gulf Air accounts. Saudi Arabian Airlines was to celebrate its 50th anniversary, and FP7 handled the airlines account. I was requested to produce a strong concept to celebrate the occasion. My drawings and graphics were approved, to be part of an epic final for the show at the Jeddah Conference Centre Saudi Arabia. I came up with an almost life sized model of a Saudi Arabian Airlines futuristic model aircraft, the model consisted of the forward nose section cockpit and some forward parts of the wings. The model aircraft had wheels as it would be wheeled forward from the back of the stage at the appropriate time, after the celebratory speeches followed by traditional dances and one of the highlights of the show was to have at the end where lighting would dim and spotlights would highlight the centre of the stage as the back curtains would slowly draw open as the aircraft would move forward to come to the front of the stage, and be seen in all its glory. The show for Saudi Arabian Airlines was a success. Show less
