      Designed proof of concept device to acoustically detect and count rumble strip encroachments on U.S. Highway 191. Included sensor selection and signal processing using the audio editing program Adobe Audition.

      Collaborated with Hackensack University Medical Center Emergency Department on Department of Defense funded project to develop communications system that transmits medical images wirelessly and in real time for emergency casualty care. Quantified technical image specifications using MATLAB and International Telecommunications Union protocols to develop a quality control standard while making image processing improvements. Evaluated breast cancer imaging device using Electrical Impedance Tomography Improved signal processing and automated image collection process of existing breast cancer imaging device. Developed image generation software using MATLAB/EIDORS programs.

      Coordinated recruiting and admissions practices for all departmental graduate programs within the Department of Chemistry, Chemical Biology, and Biomedical Engineering. Teaching responsibilities included coordinating engineering physiology and biosystems laboratories, advising senior design teams, and courses on topics relating to wireless applications of biomedical engineering, and biomedical signal processing. Served as ABET coordinator for the BME program. Researched quality of wirelessly transmitted medical imaging systems using subjective and objective assessments.
