The role involved taking an existing product and tweaking it and repackaging it to fit another market; while at the same time managing suppliers, ad-sales people, distributers and the different production teams in Denmark, the US, Estonia, Thailand and the UK, as well as securing in store listings, building a new website, and coordinating all the different marketing activities.   I realized I wanted to learn more about e-commerce but I didn't know what to sell. Would I sell cheap knock-offs from China? Or did I want to build something with my hands? A friend's post on Instagram gave me the final solution, copper candle holders – made by her father. I saw the market potential and realized I could improve on the design, set the quality to where I wanted it, and on top of that use my previous skill set in marketing and project management; voilá Kopparljus® was born.
