Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) Chemical Engineering- Plastics & Polymer 3.67

      • Ranked 1st in my department with a CGPA 8.11/10 (3.67/4).• Awarded the GP Birla Scholarship for the last five semesters (75% tuition fee waiver) for scholastic achievements.• Thesis: Development of polymer nanocomposite for food packaging application, which resulted in a groundbreaking 63% improvement in oxygen impermeability property.

    • University of Alberta

      2017 - 2021
Master of Science - MS Chemical Engineering 3.8

      • Average GPA of 3.8/4.• Awarded $2,500 in scholarship for academic excellence.

  • Experience

    • Steel Authority of India Limited

      May 2015 - Jun 2015
      Summer Intern

      • Studied the effects of adding inerts on the CSN values of Coal at the research wing of Steel Authority Of India, under the supervision of Dr. T. K. Das, DGM &HOG (Coal Carbonization Laboratory), RDCIS, SAIL) & Dr. B.K. Sahoo, AM. • It was found that adding inerts to coal reduces its CSN values which is undesirable. The indigenous coal have lower CSN values implying that it might contain inerts. The project explored optimum quantity and types of low-cost inert material that can be mixed with different grades of coking coal so that cost efficiency can be achieved without losing substantial calorific value. • Indian Institute of Science (IISc)

      May 2016 - Jun 2016
      Project Intern

      • Set up a low-cost ($5) portable device for the estimation of Fluoride in drinking water under the supervision of Prof Kesava Rao.• The device, which is the size of a lunch box, allows easy and cheap identification of safe drinking water sources in the remote parts of the world.

    • Indian Oil Corp Limited

      Sept 2016 - May 2017
      Project Leader

      • Developed a polypropylene-based nanocomposite for food packaging applications with groundbreaking 63% improvement in Oxygen barrier properties. • Used industry grade extruder and sheet making machines to prepare the samples. Learned to troubleshoot industry grade machinery as a result.• The project has familiarized me with different types of equipment and methods of characterization such as scanning electron microscope (SEM), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA), universal testing machine (UTM), X-ray diffraction equipment (XRD) and moisture vapor transmission rate testing (MVTR). Thus, making me adept at laboratory skills. Show less
