      Jan 2010 - Aug 2012
      Fire Inspector

As a senior team member, I played a crucial role in supporting and collaborating with others to support fire code enforcement. Recognizing a significant efficiency bottleneck, I took proactive steps to lead the transition from paper-based inspections to a digital system, leveraging ACS FireHouse. This transformation resulted in a remarkable annual time savings of approximately 1,670 hours, equivalent to $80,000 in value. Moreover, I spearheaded the creation of systems to integrated the permitting office with the fire marshal's office. Show less

My contributions extended to evidence management, where I improved a digital barcoding system, significantly reducing personnel hours and ensuring 100% accountability, even addressing missing items. I also prioritized process optimization through automation, leveraging Python scripts to process incident reports efficiently, saving valuable time and minimizing delays. My commitment to skill development led to the successful mentoring and certification of several staff members over four years. Show less

      City Council Member Place 4

I have actively contributed to the city's growth and sustainability. The most significant responsibility is assisting in overseeing a substansial $31 million budget. Beyond fiscal management, I worked with the City Manager to identify a critical flood risk, representing a potential catastrophic risk of financial exposure. This was a threat to the city's future development. To address this challenge, A Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone (TIRZ) was created and a long-term plan that involved purchasing and selling high-risk homes. This strategic approach not only eliminated risk but also paved the way for sustainable growth. My priorities as City Council Member have consistently revolved around conservative budgeting, steadfast support for our esteemed fire and police departments, and a proactive stance on flood risk mitigation, all contributing to the city's ascent as a premier living destination within the Greater Houston area. Project Administrator

During a short contract with Kinder Morgan, I transitioned into the oil and gas industry, focusing on permitting, right of way, easements, and pipeline engineering. I successfully managed a backlog of reimbursement invoices with TxDOT, working on eight projects and facilitating the reimbursement of $4.6 million. This involved coordination with multiple internal departments, external consultants, and state agencies. I enjoyed the experience of working in a downtown environment.
