  I have actively contributed to the city's growth and sustainability. The most significant responsibility is assisting in overseeing a substansial $31 million budget. Beyond fiscal management, I worked with the City Manager to identify a critical flood risk, representing a potential catastrophic risk of financial exposure. This was a threat to the city's future development. To address this challenge, A Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone (TIRZ) was created and a long-term plan that involved purchasing and selling high-risk homes. This strategic approach not only eliminated risk but also paved the way for sustainable growth. My priorities as City Council Member have consistently revolved around conservative budgeting, steadfast support for our esteemed fire and police departments, and a proactive stance on flood risk mitigation, all contributing to the city's ascent as a premier living destination within the Greater Houston area. This involved coordination with multiple internal departments, external consultants, and state agencies. I enjoyed the experience of working in a downtown environment.
