      I have recently left Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service after 30 years as a Station Manager to pursue and explore new challenges. With a wide range of experiences and skills I have a lot to offer future employers with my background in Sales, Public sector Procurement, Logistics, Media, Training and Development, Management Techniques, Health and Safety, Equality and Diversity and of course Emergency Services. Learning and Development Manager 2014-2016 • Developing and assessing personnel throughout the Brigade • Technical examination: Constructing a bibliography and syllabus for Supervisory and Middle Managers examinations; designing the papers and questions; marking and grading• Health and Safety – IOSH and NEBOSH qualifications• Institute of Leadership and Management Level 5 Logistics Manager- Equipment and PPE 2008-2014Managing the procurement, contracts, technical data documents and alerts, distribution, testing and repair of all equipment CCTV and supplies for 58 Fire Stations, 72 Fire appliances throughout a large geographical area along with the uniform and PPE for 1400 personnel. Water department manager (Hydrant and Fire extinguisher procurement testing and maintenance)• Notable projects are the all Wales Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) procurement with Lion Apparel• Replacement Chemical protection suit project – European tender• Rural Response Pump Project - Winner of the Fire Service innovation award 2012 - Rural Response Pump project• All-terrain vehicle project – European tenderWildfire - Brigade lead 2010-2014• Writing and developing National, Regional and Service Wildfire strategies and tactics • The training of Strategic, Middle and Supervisory managers along with 1200 Firefighters• The Procurement and development of Wildfire specific vehicles and equipment• Attending managing and tactically advising on operational incidents: notably the Wildfire Advisor for 2012 London Olympics Show less
