      I worked in the design section of Hyundai Engineering and Construction for the Jamuna Multipurpose Bridge project. The duration was from mid 1996 to Aug 1997. This was the biggest construction project (USD 600 million) of Bangladesh by the South Korean giant Hyundai. I was responsible for the geometry design of the bridge by keeping liaison in between Hyundai South Korea, TY Lin of San Francisco and GCPB of France. I have gained lot of experience in working with different cultural mindset through working there. Show less

The recently achieved milestone for the department has been the rolling out of 2500+ base stations in 2006. In 2007 the department has been set with a target of 4000+ base stations. On top of that the department is also responsible for huge core and service roll out and backbone expansion. Some highlights:Development of local entrepreneurs for tower fabrication.Developing and engaging local firms for installation and commissioning of base stations and fiber optic backbone deployment worksStreamlining interfaces and processes with x-functional bodies like Supply Chain Management, Finance, Warehouse, etc to facilitate efficient roll outCost optimization (both capex and opex) to support the ever challenging business case. The project was initiated in mid 2005 and closed by end 2005. I have led this group consisting of representation from various disciplines of the organization.
