Subjects were preserved in ethanol and sent off to a lab elsewhere to identify organisms.

  • Lead all new product development in the R&D department: o Develop and pitch new catalog items (cakes, pies, cookies, chocolates, savory baked goods, Moose Munch and candies) from ideation to finished product to be produced for commercial use. o Maintain communication and actively collaborate with merchandising/marketing, sourcing and bakery/candy manufacturing. o Work alongside the sourcing team and vendors to acquire needed ingredients and materials for new catalog items. o Develop, create, and refine recipes to meet company timelines, targeted cost, labor requirements and production limitations. Accelerate new development items to meet urgent needs. o Create the bill of materials and initial costing for the new product. o Write detailed procedures for the manufacturing team to follow to make the new product. o Create and develop licensed products with other large companies. o Supervise and lead the R&D team through projects. • Manufacturing support o Support the manufacturing team when transferring new catalog items from R&D to production and support existing product lines. o Identify problems in the manufacturing line and update/revise the manufacturing procedures to improve efficiency. o Train the operators on new processes and recipes introduced to the production line. o Ensure that all projects are conducted according to brand standards and specifications. • Shelf-Life Testing o Develop specification sheet for all new catalog items which includes shelf-life and storage requirements. o Create a shelf-life report describing the findings from the lab results and how they compare to the sensory testing. • SQF Internal Audit Team Member o Certified in SQF ‘Implementing SQF Systems for Manufacturing’ and PCQI certified. o A member of the internal audit team since Jan 2020.
