  Substance Abuse Prevention and Education (SAPE) uses harm-reduction, evidence-based strategies to target substance use, misuse, and abuse among UO students, with a goal of decreasing the risks associated with substance misuse. As Student Director, I am responsible for implementing these strategies in ways that are intersectional and aim to reduce stigma. The team and I strive to engage the campus community in challenging conversations surrounding alcohol and other drugs. This is accomplished through providing accessible resources, screening tools, and a wide range of trainings/workshops. I utilize my leadership abilities by leading these conversations at tabling events, workshops, and online. I take part in creating the content we present and come up with creative ways to share it.
