During my time at Portland State University, I was an active volunteer in around ten student organizations, and held multiple leadership roles including but not limited to: graphic designer, secretary, design and decorations committee leader, dance team leader, volunteer coordinator, tour guide leader, and many more.

      Hawai`i Technology Institute is a 30-year-old vocational training nonprofit institution offering affordable technology medical assisting certification training in the Hawaiian Islands. HTI also provides education and training for Hawaii's low-income youth.During my time at HTI, I was Administrative Assistant, Teacher's Assistant, Graphic Artist Team Leader, and Event and Creative Design Team Secretary. I was responsible for around 20 high schoolers, leading activities, facilitating students' educational game prototype designs, providing administrative support in the office, and leading the Graphic Artist and Creative Design teams for a large-scale inter-island event.       PSU's School of Business has been nationally-recognized for its excellent Graduate Business Programs. I was lucky to be the only graphic designer and marketing assistant working with the Director of Marketing and Recruiting for PSU's various MBA programs. I was responsible for all of our print and web design, especially ads, fliers, mailers, and other promotional material. I also maintained, updated, and proofread web content, and helped to transition our old website to PSU's new platform.

      The Portland Workforce Alliance is a nonprofit that builds connections between local businesses and high schools to provide inspiring career-related learning experiences, raise the high school graduation rate, and engage students to make informed career choices after school. Each year, we organize the NW Youth Careers Expo, a career-education convention attended by more than 7000 students, 200 exhibitors, and 35 sponsors.I was our main graphic designer and was responsible for our marketing materials, event design, photography, social media, email newsletters, and more. I provided administrative and operational support for our board of directors, office, and our many events -- from our career days and site tours (15-60 students), annual breakfast (450 of Portland's business leaders, educators, and students), and the NW Youth Careers Expo (above).       The ACE Mentor Program is a national program that engages, excites, and enlightens high school students to pursue careers in Architecture, Construction Management, and Engineering. ACE helps practicing professionals to mentor high school students in a building design project over a 12-week period, and also awards scholarships to graduating seniors.I was the main point of contact for ACE Portland and handled most of our behind-the-scenes administrative responsibilities — managing around 150 students and 120 mentors, supporting 30+ board members, creating our program calendar, assisting with event planning, maintaining our website and social media, and processing all of our applications, background checks, scholarships, and more.
