  Brief of Project: The source of heat is the combustion of fuel gas in its burner system and fire tube. In our project, we will determine the amount of fuel gas required per day to bring the emulsion to the required temperature, to facilitate the breaking of emulsion and hence separating the oil from water.

  Produced water is the water generated when oil and gas are produced either from onshore (land drilling) or offshore wells (deep water/shallow water drilling). Oil produced water contamination can be hazardous to humankind and aquatic life as they are subjected to polluted water and soil. Experimental work was performed to determine the most suitable method for quantification produced water parameter and results showed that the UV Visible Spectroscopy and flame photometer.
