  ASIC development for industrial & consumer smoke detectors. Worked directly with a customer to design an ASIC to replace their current discrete solution for industrial smoke detectors. Responsible for evaluating the customer’s design to see what could be incorporated into a silicon solution and what made more sense to leave discrete. Responsible for leading new product development team through the development and prepare. Met with customers regularly with prototypes to evaluate performance in smoke detection setups to ensure compliance with UL standards. Worked in the lab to setup bench testing to collect data for validating, qualifying and characterizing new products, correlating test program and bench data as well as simulated smoke scenarios. Worked with the other groups in the division (engineering planners, quality and reliability and test engineering) to move material through various phases to get the products released to production.• Worked with my mentor and field sales reps to develop a customer proposal for a new ASIC design ($40M in total sales)• Performed duties of both Program Manager and Product Engineer roles, typically handled by two team membersPower FET development Worked directly with the technology development team on a new Power FET design for ultra low on resistance (RDS(on)) and gate charge requirements (QG).
