      Lead a division of eight junior Sailors and two chiefs in deployment training and certification and through an eight-month deployment overseas. Directly responsible for two work centers covering the preventative maintenance and casualty corrections of five 200-ton A/C plants, two reverse osmosis plants to supply freshwater to the entire crew, two hydraulic power steering units (rudder control), two reefer plants, and one Recovery Assist Secure & Traverse (RAST) machinery room to adhere to all aviation protocols for moving SH-60R helicopters on deck. Maintained a variety of other auxiliary supporting equipment for both combat functionality and crew services onboard.Assigned ownership of four auxiliary compartments (housing equipment mentioned above) to maintain all safety, fire-prevention, and inspection standards. Transitioned ship into a 12-month maintenance availability and coordinated the scheduling, contracting, and install of multiple damaged units. Forecasted the future start-up and testing plans to bring systems online upon ship's return to the water. Show less

      Managed a team of twenty-five personnel in the the training of 350 ships crew Sailors to be proficient in all required security and watch standing protocols for domestic and international force protection. Lead the ship through fleet certification and thirteen dynamic situations to facilitate foreign port visits and underway security posture. Readily accountable for $750,000 of security reaction force material and coordinated replacement of all watch standing gear to support watch stander readiness. Maintained qualification records for 300+ watchstaders in their pistol, rifle, OC Spray, and supporting classroom training to be adequately able to carry out assigned duties. Facilitated the training and replacement plan for all training teams to ensure ship has enough depth to support security functions up to 12-months out. Updated and maintained two program required instructions to detail ships security posture and detainee handling when in-port and underway. Show less
