      Responsible for planning, implementing and organising maintenance team in the electrical department, this is includes both planned maintenance and new installations of electrical equipment. Another aspect of this role is acquiring all the resources for work to be carried out, planning for lead times is essential in this role. Appointed Electrical Senior Authorised Person by the Electrical Engineer on site, this role includes having a comprehensive knowledge on all electrical systems up to 11kV and authorising others to certain levels. These levels state what equipment can be worked on by a competent deemed person. One of the key elements of this role is being partly responsible for HV electrical network on VPOT. Authorised to carry out and issue excavation permits on behalf of electrical department, this involves interpreting electrical & general underground drawings, scanning the area using scanning equipment and completing the relevant documentation. Understanding the requirements of work for a top tier COMAH establishment and ensuring the Terminal Environmental Permit systems meet compliance requirements. These are critical elements of the role.Also previous roles such as hazardous maintenance tracking/planning and knowledge of EN 61511. Show less I carry out and assist with maintenance and installation of electrical equipment with voltages ranging from 50V to 11KV. Most of the equipment is located in hazardous areas. For which I have been deemed competent to carry out work in these areas, by an external governing body JTL. In addition, I also work on Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS). For which I had to attend Functional Safety and SIL for Technicians (IEC 61511). I regularly work with other departments to get certain aspects of the job completed. I am largely involved with the planning of safety critical electrical maintenance, this is a system of performance indicators which result in simple overview traffic light system. It shows whether safety critical maintenance such as, hazardous area inspections are carried out within a safe time between inspections. Another aspect of my role is to regularly update the maintenance management system along with other colleagues which tracks all work orders on site, stores equipment records and schedules certain maintenance jobs. When the electrical leader is on annual or sick leave, I stand in and cover most of his roles. Show less
