      The Anita Barreto Lagesse Award Pan American School of Brasilia Jun 2021 PURPOSE:The Anita Barreto Lagesse Award was established to recognize and encourage exceptional community engagement and a commitment to the Pan American School that goes “Above and Beyond” by its faculty, students, parents, and/or community leaders. HISTORY:Anita Barreto Lagesse first came to the Pan American School in 2001 and remained a very active supporter until 2015, when her daughter graduated. Anita was a member of… Show more PURPOSE:The Anita Barreto Lagesse Award was established to recognize and encourage exceptional community engagement and a commitment to the Pan American School that goes “Above and Beyond” by its faculty, students, parents, and/or community leaders. HISTORY:Anita Barreto Lagesse first came to the Pan American School in 2001 and remained a very active supporter until 2015, when her daughter graduated. During that time, Anita’s impact on PASB took many forms. Anita was a member of the PTA (Parent Teacher Association) and served as a member of the PASB Board of Trustees as well as President for several years. She continues to live PASB’s Core values of kindness, integrity, respect, leadership, responsible stewardship, and collaboration in her personal life and models those to everyone she meets. Without Anita Barreto Lagesse’s talent, drive, and inspiration PASB would not be the school it is today. Even though her children are no longer enrolled in PASB, Anita still finds time to support PASB and its mission. CRITERIA FOR AWARD:The recipient(s) will reflect the Pan American School’s core values. The individual(s) will demonstrate leadership, innovation, collaboration, and teamwork. The recipient(s) will strive to advance The Pan American School’s mission and academic endeavors in the region.
