  Within the scope of my Master's thesis entitled “Benzopyran Derivatives as Potential Chemopreventive Agents - a New Perspective Towards Melanoma Melanotic”, under supervision of Maria Paula Marques, the action of phytochemicals in melanoma and osteosarcoma was studied, by performing various in vitro cytotoxicity assays.

  As a team member of the FCT funded project “2D Fluorometry: a Powerful Tool to Improve Mammalian Cell Process Development”, under the guidance of Ana Teixeira, my research focused on animal cell culture, cell line optimization, reporter and therapeutic proteins expression analysis, as well as metabolome quantification through NMR.

  As a PhD student at Animal Cell Technology Unit, my main research focused in stable cell lines development and optimization, ultimately, for vaccine production. I am interested in cell line development to vaccine (and other complex proteins with biomedical interest) production and purification.
