      Using in vitro models (epithelial-bacterial interactions) and human tissue I investigated molecules involved in intestinal inflammation and defense, notably Lipoxins and cytokines. This research resulted in the discovery that BPI, an antimicrobial protein, was expressed in epithelial cells and that it was regulated by a Lipoxin A4 analogue.
