  Richard Pierce created Pierce Construction & Repair (PCR) in 1990 after the aero-space industry collapsed. He was an engineer with a construction background who wanted his own business. PCR grew by doing home additions and all manner of construction projects. However, in 1998 PCR was requested to build a hillside deck and was required to use vinyl for the deck surfaced. From that experience another company Cal Fence Deck & Rail (CFDR) was created and it became a manufactures' representative for numerous new products. Now these two Brea firms work together to providing procurement skills and installation skills for successful home renovation projects. PCR still does all manner of construction projects, but because of the close ties to CFDR a majority of the focus is on the amenities outside and around a house.
