  I had the opportunity to do four of my Pharmacy Doctorate rotations at the Methodist hospital in Texas.Community Rotation: I did the community rotation at Walgreens drug store, where I was introduced to dispensing medication, dealing with insurance companies, counseling patients, and ordering medications.Internal Medicine: This rotation introduced me to the real duties of a clinical pharmacist. I was responsible for monitoring patients, rounding with attending physicians, discharge counseling, and lecturing students on topics concerning treatment protocols for various types of diseases.Transplant Rotation: The transplant floor at the Methodist hospital is one of the most advanced transplant facilities worldwide. During this rotation I got introduced to the treatment protocols for the different types of transplant from liver to lung to kidney and heart transplant.Drug Information center : During this rotation I was responsible of answering several drug or disease related questions from doctors to pharmacists or even patients. I also served as an intern at the emergency room where I was responsible for admitting patients to the emergency room and taking all their past medical history and their current medication list.
