Responsible for the maintenance and operation of the drilling rig in accordance with all safety policies and procedures. Coordinated the rigging up and rigging down of all the equipment with the trucking crews, moving derrick, sub-structure, matting, draw-works, compound assembly, pump houses, mud tanks, boilers, water tanks, BOP’s, pipe, collars, racks, doghouse and camp structures. Responsible for maintaining the drilling fluids per the tower book, coordinating the mixing of the drilling mud/components, replacement of pump rods, heads, and liners (when washed out), de-sander and de-silter unit centrifuge operation, repair and maintenance, shale shaker maintenance, mud tank monitoring, pump house motors maintenance, boiler start-up and shutdown. Initiated the field testing and trial chemicals for corrosion inhibition, scale inhibition, biocide control for SRB’s and APB’s, H2S, water clarification and oil dehydration for seven producing locations with a combined production of 25K BOEPD and water flood of over 400K BWPD. Put in place a field lab to assess daily monitoring. Designed the corrosion inhibition program and monitoring for over 500 wells, assisting in the development of a database that contained all well pertinent data, work-over data, corrosion failures, mechanical specifics of each well, and the subsequent recommended chemical treatment dosage. Produced weekly engineering and financial reports for the customer and all technical recommendations and proposals. Attended monthly well review meetings with the customer. Developed the software programs for billings, audits, shipping manifests and supply chain management. Did the annual budget and supplied weekly updates and monthly revenue forecasts. Put in place corporate QHSE programs from SMITH, then MI and finally Schlumberger. Hired and trained sixteen employees. Had designed and built five treater trucks and two heavy over the road delivery units. Put in place the DOT program for all the qualifying vehicles and operators and participated in the CHP BIT inspections. Conducted all product orders from the main distribution point out of Louisiana and from a dozen outside vendors. Set up two offices in California and a small blending operation securing permits and putting in place all the safety protocols and ISO programs to meet the QA/QC corporate obligations.
