  Tasked with implementing Emergency Response training package for offshore drilling company, this training was delivered offshore and involved management of major emergency (MOME) training to all senoir crew who make up crisis management team, plus fire control and command to on-scene commanders and fire fighting training to fire teams.Technical training was also delivered to the vessels mechanical and electrical teams with regards to the active and passive fire systems found onboard, the training budget was initially set at 1.5 million dollars with the training being verified by a 3rd party, a leading marine fire fighting specialist (Falck risc), since the initial fleet training Stena drilling have adopted this process so all vessels are continually assessed and is still on-going to this day. On the back of this project I had a techical paper published in the Industrial fire Journal and an invite to speak at the IOSH conference 2010 on providing robust emergency training for the Oil & Gas industry.   HSE team lead in charge of all HSE issues on a large Futrue life extension project for the BG Armada gas platform, the safety team consisted of 3 advisors and 2 safety coaches providing 24/7 cover, at it's peak the construction workforce numbered 340 personnel, the whole contract was completed with 3.5 million manhours worked with no (LTI) loss time injuries recorded. the project was also undertaken whilst the platform remained live.

  This will be my 3rd campaign in Tanzania for Bg group, was initially BG group's first HSSE advisor in country to set-up operations within port / supply base back in 2010. I have also worked offshore on both deepwater drilling rigs ( Deepsea Stavanger & Deepsea metro 1 ) as BG client safety rep during the Tanzania campaign.With the Mtwara Port facility and supply base expanding at a rapid pace, I have returned to act as construction HSE advisor for the up-coming phase 2 construction period, the work-scopes for this phase of construction will include infrastructure i.e. news roads and drainage systems, large ground clearing, preparation and laying of lay-down areas, construction of office buildings and demolition of existing.Due to the SIMOPS of on-going drilling campaigns ( BG & Statoil ) all construction works will need to be well controlled to smoothly run alongside the operational aspect of the base. the projected additional workforce on base during this period will be upwards of 280 + personnel.
