  I worked with the nonprofit Chosen Children of Promise in Nairobi, Kenya for one year as an in-house communications specialist. I used the year to immerse in the culture, gather necessary information about telling their story their way, and then I trained the Kenyan communications team to move ahead with the social media and marketing strategy.
