  I was the evening supervisor for the access services desk. I helped patrons with reference questions, supervised a team of 11 student workers. I helped at the circulation desk when we get busy. I checked in all current periodical journals and updated loose leaf volumes. I also wrote for and edited the library's monthly newsletter.

  As the Head Librarian I oversee and participate in all of the daily functions of the library, including but not limited to: circulation, reference, acquisitions, cataloging, ILS reporting and updating. While in this position I have initiated the Information Literacy program and have implemented the switch between Integrated Library Software, Learning Management Systems, and School Information Systems. I teach the Freshman Orientation class as well as the Freshman Composition classes. I also evaluate transcripts to award transfer credits to incoming students. I have been a part of creating regional accreditation reports and participating in accreditation interviews that have led to the institution being approved for candidacy with WASC. I've been a part of various committees that had the purpose of creating new classes and writing course descriptions, as well as committees that evaluate and assess Learning Outcomes. Show less
