Hot Bread Kitchen, a nonprofit organization who believes in breadwinners! Hot Bread Kitchen expands opportunities for professional, personal, and economic growth through our holistic job skills training, food entrepreneurship programs, and offers an ecosystem of support in New York City. Most recently, we have partnered with the NYC Department of Small Business Services to launch First Course NYC. This is an all-gender inclusive program that consists of 16 Week training. Apprentices complete eight weeks (280 hours) of rigorous hands-on culinary skills and job preparedness training led by culinary and restaurant professionals; the remaining 6 weeks will be on the job training at one of our partnered restaurants. The ultimate goal is for apprentices to be moved into full-time positions as an entry-level line cook. Applicants are required to attend an info session where they will receive a link to the application, registration can be done via Eventbrite. The leading culinary training facility in the US accepted 97% of all applicants as compared to 36% 20 years ago, with the number of total candidates enrolling down 90%. The need for Chef & Cook jobs is expected to grow by 25% through 2030.Please feel free to share this information with anyone who can benefit from this program. Show less
