  Civil Engineer Quality Assurance Quality Control

  1.Carrying out mixed designs of DLC, PQC, Structural Concrete, Kerb Concrete & conducting tests for soil and aggregates as per frequencies & method referring MORTH, IRC norms. 2. Preparation of MPR & submitting to the Authority Engineer. 3. Collection of OGL and Borrow area Soil samples for testing and submitting the test reports for source approvals. 4. Supervision of Earthwork, Sub base, DLC & PQC laying, safety, conducting field-testing as per Codes and specifications. 5. Preparation of reports as per relevant Contract clauses. 6. Supervising / monitoring the day-to-day activity for timely completion of the project and process in accordance with the approved Work Program and relevant Contract specification. 7. Getting of source approvals for Admixtures, Cement, Borrow areas, Steel, Hume pipes, Sealant, Coarse & fine Aggregates. 8. Maintaining quality relationships with suppliers of various products used in the site. 9. Liaison/co-ordination with Client and Consultant, ensuring site quality during construction. 10. Getting Third party test reports for aggregates, water, admixtures, steel and etc. 11. Ensuring that the materials delivered at site complied with the specifications as per IRC / MORT&H standards.12. Preparation and closing of RFI's attaching suitable Lab reports. 13. Monitoring & controlling the slump of concrete at Batching plant and conducting calibration of plant every month as per MORT&H. 14. Casting of Concrete Cubes for all grades at site, then Curing of Concrete Cubes and testing it for Compressive Strength & thereby making Standard Deviation report at the end of a particular month. 15. Conducting Plate load Test and Standard penetration Tests for checking safe bearing capacity of soil after excavation of any major structure.16. Reinforcement Checking for any part of structure like clear cover, Lap length, Spacing of bars before concrete. 17. Supervision of Girder Casting thereby checking Slump, filling Pour card, Prestressing, Grouting etc. Show less

  Lab & Batching Plant: 1. Ensure the quality of Concrete & Shotcrete as per the design mix, Technical requirements of the project to achieve strength & durability. 2. Ensure the quality of various Grout ratio as per the design mix, Technical requirements of the project to achieve permeability, strength, durability requirements. 3. Grade of concrete handled M40SFRS, M40PPFS, M40 PSC, M40RCC, M40SCC, M25, M20PCC, M10PCC etc. 4. Inspection of all incoming materials like Cement, GGBS, Micro-silica, steel fiber, polypropylene fiber, coarse aggregrate, fine aggregrate, water proofing compound, admixture for concrete & grout. 5. Ensure each TM concrete workability & temperature within the permissible limit as per ITP. 6. Casting of cubes & cylinders for compression. Quality at site: 1. Handling Concrete structures related to Tunnel lining likely Raft, Gantry, Wall & buildings. 2. Inspection of Reinforcement, formwork & concreting & clearing RFI’s in front of PMC/Client. 3. Inspecting independently in accordance to checklists for reinforcement, formwork, Pre-pour, lattice girder, Rock bolt & RRS installation. 4. Generating Site Observation Sheet & Non Compliance Report wherever any sort of deviation found in work from methodology by site engineers. 5. Documentation as per ISO 9001:2018 for all testing, inspection, calibration related checklist, formats, register, file & document & handing over to central lab for maintaining up to project end. 6. To minimize the rejection of shotcrete & concrete by controlling the mix, pouring sequence & pouring rate at site. 7. Training & improving the knowledge of Production & QA/QC subordinates FLS 1 no., QC helper 2 nos. about concrete, rebar, shotcrete & Grout. 8. To ensure all Rockbolting, RRS, Lattice Girder, cable anchor installation done as per QAP/Method statement. 9. To ensure all rebar & formwork with supports carried out at site as per approved drawing and BBS. 10. Brainstorm & offer solutions to address quality related issues. Show less
