      I was responsible for managing the enhancement, maintenance, and support of the Platform middleware component which included Installation, Logging & Tracing, Internationalization, Reports, Security, Server Side Extensibility, Java EE App Server (WebLogic, JBoss), Java Web Framework (Spring, Struts, JSF, GWT), Job Supervisor, and Licensing common functionality and the corresponding U.S. based team of 13 software developers and DBAs. The Platform was used by all core product applications and supported on RHEL, Solaris, HP-UX, and AIX. This area was comprised of C++ and Java middleware applications and both open source as well as vendor tools that supported an Oracle or SQL Server database and JBoss or WebLogic Client-Server architecture to deliver BSS back-end application servers and the corresponding back-office and customer care user interfaces for a post-paid voice/data rating and billing solution. I managed project teams totaling 15 or more members comprised of my direct reports as well as additional U.S. and global resources that successfully defined, designed, implemented, tested, released, installed, and supported:• All functional enhancements for over 30 projects and 20 releases of the core product Platform which was included in solutions deployed at customers such as Cox, Turk, Alcatel Lucent, Duke Energy, Digi, Tina, and EchoStar.• All open source and vendor tool (including software language and OS) upgrades for all core product solutions.• PCI and PA-DSS compliance changes for all solutions that were built upon the core product Platform component.• The effort to migrate the source code repository from Synergy to SVN which resulted in an annual savings of $135,000. Show less I was responsible for managing all enhancement, maintenance, and support of the Billing subsystem of our custom Rating & Billing Management (RBM) solution for Sprint Corporation and the corresponding U.S. based team of 10 software developers. The subsystem was comprised of C++ applications that utilized an Oracle database and WebLogic Client-Server architecture to deliver back-end billing services and the corresponding back-office and customer care user interfaces for a post-paid voice/data rating and billing solution.• I managed project teams totaling 15 or more members comprised of my direct reports as well as additional U.S. and global resources that successfully defined, designed, implemented, tested, released, installed, and supported all functional enhancements for 40 projects over 6 major releases of the Billing subsystem for our custom Sprint RBM solution.• As the overall development implementation manager for 2 major releases I successfully managed hundreds of implementation support tickets and the dozens of software developers from all solution development areas who were responsible for addressing them. Show less I managed the housing and assembly of the custom Sprint Corporation, legacy Atlys, PSG, and core product Infinys billing software solutions and the team of 9 software developers that built and maintained our in-house configuration management tools which utilized Unix/Linux Korn Shell (ksh) script, Perl, PHP, JavaScript, CSS, Subversion (SVN), and Tcl.• I managed 14 projects that successfully defined, designed, implemented, tested, released, installed, and supported all functional enhancements to build mechanisms and environments that packaged our solutions not only for use by our development and testing teams but also for customers such as Sprint, Wild Blue, ATT VoIP, LATAM, J2, T-Mobile USA, ESPN, Disney, Cingular, Telepak, Dobson, Triton, and Power Seller.• I successfully planned and managed several release end development Integration Test projects for the core product Infinys rating and billing software solution components.• I managed the project that successfully defined, designed, implemented, tested, released, installed, and supported build migration automation which significantly reduced overall build and packaging time for all products.       I was responsible for managing projects associated with the enhancement, maintenance, and support of the Online Charging System functional area and the corresponding U.S. based team of 17 software developers and DBAs. Area products were comprised of C++ and Java applications that utilized Oracle and Cassandra databases and a mixture of JBoss Client-Server and Hadoop architectures to deliver a real time, continuously available, high throughput, voice/data rating and billing solution. Using an agile project management methodology, I managed project teams totaling 70 or more members comprised of my direct reports as well as additional U.S. and global resources that successfully defined, designed, implemented, tested, released, installed, and supported:• All functional enhancements for RTCC CA, Netcracker's first real time BSS rating and billing solution. This project had a budget in excess of $2 million, a 12 month schedule, and a global team that included 70 individuals (40 working concurrently). RTCC CA was successfully deployed at T-Mobile Poland and Andorra Telecom.• Most functional enhancements for CUBE, Netcracker's next generation real time BSS online charging solution. This project had a budget in excess of $1 million, a 9 month schedule, a global team that included 50 individuals, and moved the solution from a prototype into a product that was mature enough to win its first contract at Videotron.• The CUBE Test Framework (CTF) and corresponding hardware environment, Netcracker's first and only real time solution, automated test framework.• The Performance Test Labs for RTCC CA and CUBE and their corresponding test case suites. These project teams were also responsible for mastering and optimizing the use of tools that were new to the company such as Cassandra, Hazelcast, ZooKeeper, MARBEN, Seagull, and OpenSAF. Show less
