Represent the ALANA Student Center in collaboration with 7 other departments in the Diversity and Equity Unit in institutional committees and outreach initiatives.Serve as advisor for many student leaders of color, including the 8 executive board members of ALANA GEAR.Co-supervise the 14 student work-study employees in the office. Served as the personal social, cultural, and academic advisor to 8 first year students in the United States Department of Agriculture Multi-cultural scholars program.   The Associate Director of Athletics for Student Support, Development, and Inclusion leads the directives of the Student-Athlete Support Services office, working to support student-athletes in balancing their athletic and academic pursuits on campus while working fully in the context of overall student development in a higher education environment. This position collaborates with other administrators to consider appropriate department services for student-athletes, and then develops, implements, and manages several programs that address the needs of student-athletes and coaches with regard to their overall success, belonging and welfare. The role also works in close conjunction with Athletics Compliance staff regarding student-athletes’ academic performance as it relates to athletic eligibility.
