Completed thesis project ‘Numerical Solution of Navier - Stokes equation using co- located grid system’. In the project, I discretized NS equation on co-located grid system using 2D Finite Volume Method (FVM) and Momentum Interpolation technique. I successfully developed a Matlab program to generate velocity field by solving the discretized equations using Semi-Implicit Method for Pressure Linked Equations (SIMPLE) algorithm. A ‘2D Lid Driven Cavity’ problem was solved for Reynolds number of 100 & 1000 and velocity fields inside cavity were calculated which were found conforming to benchmarked results. I also conducted a grid size independence study and along with convergence rate dependence study. Show less Optimized the Design of Maize Sheller under guidance of Dr. A.K. Pradhan, Dr. M.K. Pandit and Dr. Animesh Mondal at IIT Bhubaneswar. Modified existing design of maize sheller to improve ergonomic features along with safety. Optimized the design of shelling drum to increase the output. The overall cleaning efficiency was also improved by optimizing the speed of air blown from blower fan assembly. As results of these modifications weight of overall system was successfully reduced by 15%. A prototype of the optimized design was also developed successfully. Show less

      Scientist

Organisation Overview: The Defence R & D Organisation (DRDO) is an agency of the Republic of India, charged with the military's research and development. The organisation is engaged in developing defence technologies covering various fields, like aeronautics, armaments, electronics, land combat engineering, materials, missiles, and naval systems. DRDO is India's largest and most diverse research organisation with annual budget of 1.5 billion USD.Project Overview: DRDO initiated a mission mode project for Design and Development of 155mmX52Cal Advanced Towed Artillery Gun System (ATAGS) to fulfil the present and futuristic demands of Indian Army in 2013. A team of scientists & engineers is working along with various government agencies and private firms to develop world-class artillery system and the project is in the very advance stage of completion.Responsibilities:• Team member of Advanced Towed Artillery Gun System (ATAGS) project (SEK 300 million).• Team Leader for Design & Development of Breech Mechanism (BM) for ATAGS. • Designed Cocking & Firing Mechanism, Manual Safety Mechanism and Obturation Mechanism for BM.• Successfully conducted Dynamic Trial of 1st prototype of 155mm X 52 Cal ATAGS Ordnance.
