I was also country lead of NCA’s Emergency Response in Pakistan. - Contributed to the development of country strategy which included setting up thematic priorities, defining programme objectives, developing theory of change, potential risks & mitigation matrix and analysing country’s thematic context. - Provided technical advice to NCA in WASH, climate, environment & DRR sectors which included issues like use of climate friendly solutions, green & renewable energy options, solid waste management, improvement in water governance, promoting adaptation and means to reduce carbon emissions in NCA’s programming. - Led the process of developing grant applications for WASH, Climate & Environmental Stewardship thematic programmes. - Ensured gender mainstreaming, inclusion of women, girls, religious minorities & other marginalized groups in program activities. - Led the process of grant reviews & audits which ensured that all projects remained on track.   - I am contributing to develop drinking water and sanitation policy for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province with focus on climate change adaptation, septage, wastewater treatment and children. - Using the platform of UNICEF, I am contributing to upstream reforms agenda for WASH sector by improving Acts of parliament, formation of WASH sector divisions in line departments and establishment of water regulatory body.- Focal person for integrating climate, environment & DRR in WASH programming at UNICEF field office. In this wake I formulate concept notes for reducing carbon emissions, developing waste for value concepts with focus on children and reform’s proposal to fill gaps at governance level. - Strengthening capacity of Govt. agencies in climate financing. In this wake we are providing support in consolidation of methane emission inventory, capacity building on carbon credits and public private partnership for climate finance- Providing support to Govt. in development of children sensitive Nationally Determinant Contributions (NDC’s)- Leading the process of developing WASH Climate Solutions to develop a Climate Rationale for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. - Focal person to lead WASH section in Integrated Service Delivery (ISD) flagship initiative of UNICEF.- Provide technical backstopping & manage implementation of UNICEF funded WASH service delivery projects that are implemented by Govt, partners (PHED, LGERDD, WSSC’s) and development partners (local & international CSO’s). - Integrating WASHFIT framework in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health sector for improvement of health care facilities. - Develop high level reports, analysis, stories, and notes for facilitating decision making.
