  Programmer/Analyst for several NASA space programs. NASA programs include Cassini, Deep Space 1, and VICAR Imaging software. I started my career here via the Honors Co-Op internship that transitioned into full-time employment. Initially, I worked as a junior developer for the Multi-Mission Image Processing Lab (MIPL). MIPL is a multi-project facility designed to meet requirements that span data engineering, software tools development, system hardware, staffing and product-based processing and distribution of science instrument data for NASA’s family of planetary missions. As a developer in the MIPL lab, I became one of the primary data analyst for the Cassini satellite camera calibrations and guidance system integration. The Cassini project was a collaboration between NASA, the European Space Agency, and the Italian Space Agency to send a probe to study the planet Saturn and its system, including its rings and moons.After years of maintaining the MIPL system, I worked for the outreach program designing and creating websites for numerous JPL programs – Keck Interferometer, Deep Space 1-5, Earth Orbiter 1-2 & X2000.   Hired, mentored, managed 10+ programmers to develop enterprise class software. My team was part of a bigger team that developed the entire product. My team followed the strict n-tier design methodology, and middle tier business objects handled all the client/server communication and logic. I guided software product development, and trained the architect, project manager, support manager, & quality manager, as they were brought on-board or internally transitioned.The company’s main ideal was providing metrics of real-time and on-demand audio/video stream to businesses, and development of technology for providing quality streams to the users. For the year 2000, this was ahead of its time – high bandwidth was still expensive. The goal was to build the business (and relationships) as high bandwidth became more easily available. Several innovations were made. One ideal, that my team pioneered, was patented (WO 2001091417 A2) - the management and delivery of online webcasts. Basic ideal was the switchover of streaming data to another content delivery network (secondary stream) in the backend when threshold was met on the primary stream. It was a seamless transition to the secondary stream, as the secondary content was buffered to the right point in time of the primary stream degradation. It was a huge selling point to the biz partners that we were courting - dependable stream quality utilizing a client-end solution with multiple CDNs. PII was implemented on ecommerce customers, partners and vendors data.For all development, we started as a projectized org structure (instead of a matrix or traditional hierarchy).
