      Senior Network Support Manager

      The Senior Network Support Manager (SNSM) oversees and directs the entire process of planned maintenance and physical restoration of AT&T’s Domestic Fiber Optic Network and International Leased Dark Fiber Network. This position directs and supports the Outside Plant (OSP) Work Force during planned and unplanned cable events while working closely with OSP Construction and Engineering (C & E) and various internal groups within AT&T’s Network Reliability Center to quickly minimize disruptions to customer service. Key specific responsibilities:• Create, proof and direct Methods of Procedures (MOPs) that specify the execution of steps taken by OSP during Planned Cable Intrusions (PCI). Directing the PCI process also includes controlling communications, alarm verification, switching of service, releasing of fibers, troubleshooting and customer notification.• Directing the physical restoration process includes fault isolation, dispatching, identifying alternate restoral opportunities, prioritizing splicing order, alarm verification and troubleshooting.• Currently hold Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information – including Full Scope Polygraph (TS/SCI-FSP) to support sensitive customer projects.• Direct the implementation of process changes triggered by new technologies to ensure optimum reliability and availability of AT&T’s fiber optic network.• Maintain a supportive role with AT&T’s Disaster Recovery Team by developing fiber splicing plans to restore business critical operations during quarterly disaster recovery exercises. • Frequently liaise with internal groups in an effort to improve interdepartmental awareness with reference to fiber optic cable events and equipment events impacting customers.
