  My duties as a Junior Metallurgist is to provide technical assistance and support to the Process Plant Team. Responsible for:• Providing support with sample collections • Providing Metallurgical Accounting assistance • Assisting Plant Shift Supervisor with the daily supervisory and operational tasks • Assisting in executing Metallurgical Laboratory experiments as and when required • Assisting with the optimizing of process plant and processing parameters • Assisting with Reagents improvement • Providing support with all daily and special sample collection • Ensuring full traceability of all samples • Checking sampling equipment and sampling points and make recommendations • Working as a project team member • Motivating team members so that they can accomplish their tasks. • Ensuring compliance to all B2Gold Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures • Providing guidance on handling chemicals in a safe manner • Following SOP´s and JSAs in Reagents Handling and preparation Show less
