  • Researched floorstack receiving methods for high carton trailers. Determined best method for floorstack receiving and implemented standard method for floorstack receiving across all shifts.• Used Minitab software to conduct hypothesis testing on each receiving method based off data from personal time studies.• Worked with receiving coaches and team members to study real world processes, communicate project initiatives and goals, and run pilot tests of new methods. Worked with receiving team and maintenance to make physical changes to receiving dock that follow 5s standards and best accommodate standard method. Developed greater rapport between engineering team and receiving team.• Changes to floorstack receiving process led to 13,165 less pallets used by the facility annually. Floorstack receiving process uses 12.2% less pallets compared to last year’s performance. • Implementation of standard floorstack receiving process lead to annual labor savings of 1007 labor hours in floorstack receiving, 352 labor hours in running, and 328 labor hours in putaway resulting in annual savings of $37,467.08 compared to facility performance in 2018.
