Nov 1979 - Sept 2000Senior manager - militaryI served with the Australian Army for 21 years in various roles, including training development and delivery, doctrine/policy writing, security and human resources. I held senior management roles focusing on the training, welfare and discipline of soldiers. As a senior soldier I worked in a number of locations that required the utilisation of my years of experience to ensure soldiers with less experience would benefit from my knowledge, these locations included:1st Recruit Training Battalion (Kapooka) where I was a Platoon Sergeant responsible for the development of new soldiers. Whilst there, I oversaw the introduction of the new Steyr Rifle into recruit training.School of Artillery, where as a Warrant Officer I wrote seven publications that ranged from weapon drill to the theory of deploying Air Defence weapons onto the battlefield.Royal Military College (Duntroon) where I imparted my years of Military experience onto officer cadets.Land Warfare Centre (Canungra) where I was responsible for the delivery of the Military Law subject to Sergeants on their promotion course.
