      While my change in position involved carrying out the same job in a different region, day-to-day life changed significantly, as did the challenges. As a result of this move, I was tasked with overseeing the distribution of Red Bull in one of the country's most important regions. Unlike my previous role, this area is serviced by a select few distributors with a sales force significantly more robust than the Long Tail distributors.This new position allowed me to visit distributors more frequently, cultivating deeper relationships to enable the generation of more impactful actions within the various distributor teams. Additionally, it granted me the opportunity to develop and assume control over certain day-to-day tools, allowing me to observe how these actions were building results over time.Greater Buenos Aires holds considerable significance within the country, meaning that each action carries substantial repercussions. The visibility one faces is higher, the participants often occupy more senior hierarchical roles, and the challenges are more substantial. What's enriching about this position is that each challenge that arises leads to a new learning experience.Undoubtedly, this is a pivotal point in my career that will provide me with valuable lessons. Show less The Long Tail project encompasses all of AB InBev's distributors with lower weighting. Despite their dispersion and presence in more remote areas, collectively, these distributors held significant weight in Red Bull's business. In other words, the focus was on over 60 distributors that contributed a substantial volume.The role demanded a high degree of dynamism and autonomy. I conducted weekly trips to various parts of the country, as distributors could be found in places as distant as Ushuaia and Salta. This allowed me to gain insights into diverse realities as I visited distributors in Rio Gallegos, San Luis, Catamarca, Cordoba, Buenos Aires, Jujuy, Misiones, among other provinces.On a daily basis, I analyzed distributor-specific variables such as the number of buyers, product withdrawals, inventories, SKUs per point of sale, actual sales, among others.Furthermore, this role entailed meticulous budget management to ensure it was effectively utilized. We executed both ad hoc and general plans, the impact of which scaled rapidly.Through the development of incentives for distributor structures and close relationships with the teams, we succeeded in progressively expanding the market within the Long Tail segment. Show less After more than a year in the marketing department, I experienced significant growth that allowed me to transition into the sales department, where I conducted sales and marketing activation analysis for the On-Premise channel to support management decision-making. During the pandemic, I provided analytical support to the supermarket channel, which meant I had daily contact with both managers. This enabled me to acquire a wealth of knowledge about different channels.This experience not only allowed me to continue developing my Excel skills, but also helped me understand how to use this tool to conduct analysis that identified opportunities and making informed decisions, both in the On-Premise and subsequently, the Off-Premise channel. Show less The pandemic forced all of us to take on new roles to ensure the business didn't suffer during this unexpected situation. In my case, this meant providing support to the supermarket division alongside the On-Premise team.As the sole analyst for the channel, my responsibilities included developing, analyzing, and communicating progress on key variables crucial for the channel's development to the team and the supermarket manager. These variables included a strong focus on inventory, days of stock, sell-in, sell-out, among others.This was a significant step in my career as it allowed me to gain insights from a new channel, broaden my horizons, and lay the foundation for future opportunities that came my way. Additionally, the knowledge I gained as a supermarket analyst was invaluable and transferrable to any analysis I conducted for the On-Premise segment.
