  The kaupapa of Fire and Emergency New Zealand (FENZ) is to protect and preserve lives, property and the environment. In addition to paid personnel, the organisation requires around 12,000 volunteers working across 596 brigades to provide consistent emergency response.I work as part of the Volunteer Resilience leadership team to ensure the sustainability of FENZ’s Volunteerism Strategy 2019-29.I am responsible for volunteer attraction strategic development and advice, data analysis and forecasting, resource creation and guidance, campaign development, advertising, social media, events, position description development, staff recruitment and leadership of a team and projects.Additionally, I collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement volunteer support strategies.Key achievements› Developed a sustainable volunteer attraction model that is nationally led and regionally delivered› Proposed and implemented a national volunteer attraction surge project to address a drop in volunteer numbers.
