  Receptionist

  I was employed at Remax 4000 as a weekend receptionist. I worked with the company for two summers while I was completing my environmental studies degree. My responsibilities included answering phone calls, setting showing appointments for agents, receiving and organizing daily mail, managing office supplies, and reordering supplies. I was also responsible for greeting and directing walk-in customers to agents and filing agent paperwork.

  I was a summer volunteer for Kate Graham. She was the founder for an organization called Friends of the Northern Dolores (FOND) which aimed to place parts of the Northern Dolores in conservation easements through educating the public and fundraising. I was responsible for creating flyers and tabling at various local events to raise awareness and educate others on FOND.

  At Ripple I started out in January 2011 as an entry level employee. I was responsible for daily customer service, and cleaning duties. Within 3 months I was promoted to an assistant manager. My duties then included, opening and closing the store, overseeing a team of 2-4 employees, machine maintenance, customer service, and balancing and depositing daily finances.

  Quality assurance

  I worked with my family owned business for a summer so I could save up enough money to go abroad and also gain valuable experience in a different industry. At the company I was in charge of quality assurance including creating and implementing a new QA/QC protocol. I also helped to organize and reconfigure aspects of the business that weren't running efficiently to make them more efficient. I was also responsible for certain environmental health aspects such as keeping surrounding storm drains clear of metal debris that could potential enter the water source, as well as keeping welding dust correctly disposed of and scrap metal sorted in correct recycling areas which I then took to appropriate waste management facilities.
