      I helped locate and identify gopher tortoise burrows, while recording the GPS locations. We provided data resulting in the production of a new burrow distribution map, an estimate of population size, and determination of tortoise density per management unit.

      I worked as a media services technician assistant for our information technology services department. I assisted in the set up the audio/visual component of our on-campus events that included film showings, presentations, and workshops. Oversee sale of goods, ticketing, and customer service. Clerical work. I observed Osprey nests and behavior of species and recorded and organized the data for the national database. Project conducted by Professor Peter Meylan and students in Rainbow River. Turtles are captured by snorkelers and place in dive bags. Data includes species counts, weight, and measurements of tail, plastron, carapace, and foot. Turtles are pit tagged, drilled, and sometimes x-rayed.

      Tracked and located collared female mule deer with radio telemetry. Study consisted of vegetation inventory and forage quality of migratory and resident female mule deer. Vegetation surveys to quantify the changes following fire and post-fire restoration treatment in sagebrush communities in the Philip W. Schneider Wildlife Area. Our research also includes small mammal trapping, maintenance and observations for seed dispersal experiments and data entry.
