  During my clinical experience, I had the opportunity to learn how to conduct assessments for special education students and those requiring Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). I also conducted my first parent interview, where I shared my observations about my focus child and gained a deeper understanding of the family dynamics. This experience provided valuable insights into the child’s home environment and how I can enhance my skills in leading and implementing effective parent interventions. Additionally, I planned and delivered both a small group lesson and a large group lesson, further refining my ability to adapt instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.   Desk assistant’s serve a critical role within a central information hub for the residence halls. The front desk provides a variety of services to students, faculty, and the NIU community. The Desk Assistant position requires you to be well organized, assertive, and to provide excellent customer service.
