      Sulaiman’s Hospital is the oldest private hospital in Sri Lanka spanning a proud history of over 74 years. Recruited by this prestigious organisation I was able to hone my skills in multiple disciplines in one of the most demanding industries. My initial role was to oversee the customer service department, however, at the time of my departure 4 years on I was also responsible for patient channelling, laboratory, the reception & the IT department. Some of my notable achievements were: 1. Optimising outdoor patient process so that the time to doctor for a patient dropped from approximately 15 mins to just over 5 minutes. 2. Studying and then re-engineering work flow process using iPad & cloud-based IT solutions to achieve almost 100% accuracy, reduce costs, improve quality and reduce service times which ultimately lead to a boost in profits of over 5%. 3. Introducing web-based logins for each patient so they can download their entire medical history and share it with their loved ones and even get second opinions from experts around the world. 4. Taking the lead in a massive renovation & overhaul project of the maternity ward. Using state of the art online medical equipment the project was an immense success and recovered the full capital outlay within a period of just 6 months. 5. Cross-training front line staff to improve efficiency and counter any issues due to sudden spikes in demand or employee absenteeism. 6. Renovating the dental unit in collaboration with leading dentists, oral & maxillofacial surgeons to introduce several firsts in the Sri Lankan Dental industry. Show less

Key Responsibilities, reporting to the Head of Operations:1. Conducting business analysis, streamlining and increasing returns of investments managed by me from AED 1,000,000.00/= to AED 2,500,000.00/= whilst handling relationships of the entire investor base. 2. Carrying out market research and data analysis regarding feasibility of available properties for purchase, development and sale. One fine example, was an office unit in Downtown Dubai which was purchased, developed and sold with a profit margin of approximately 210%. 3. Providing expertise in related industries: In the retail sector, I spearheaded the marketing and distribution campaign, for the home appliance company that was performing below par, resulting in the entire stock being sold within two months. 4. Directing and managing start up and set up: Appointed to lead the startup and setup processes of the newly established Travel & Tourism company, I played a pivotal role in spheres of licensing to IT commissioning and recruitment of topflight marketing and customer service teams, resulting in a net profit within a period of just 6 months.
