      An Aircraft Controller is the critical link between the aircraft and its base, whether that’s a ship at sea or Royal Naval Air Station on land. Aircraft Controllers are involved in the mission at every stage, from pre-flight planning and briefing to launch and recovery. Main role was utilising radar systems to provide safe tactical control of rotary and fixed wing aircraft, and taking positive radar control of aircraft to assist with safe approach and landing in the event of bad weather or other aircraft emergencies.
