      To manage a small but busy office in terms of effective financial record keeping, general administration of various project processes and meeting contractual obligations. I was required to focus on quality, productivity and continuous service improvement. This was achieved through ensuring all staff were trained and following a performance plan where necessary.       As a Sponsor, I was responsible with the sponsorship of a portfolio of third party & Network Rail enhancement schemes, accountable for their delivery for both internal and external clients and the commercial terms upon which they would be delivered. My role and Portfolio from November 2020 mirrored that of the Senior Commercial Scheme Sponsor secondment.In addition to my SCSS role I negotiated the terms on which the Paddington Cube would be delivered within the Network Rail demise, negotiating 12 varying types of contractual and commercial agreements securing benefits for Network Rail and ensuring NR were protected both financially and on safety grounds both during and post construction. My initial portfolio of works included numerous third party schemes at Paddington and across the route, as well as the Access for All programme for Western Route, successfully delivering Burnham Station AFA after 10 years of being in existence & the delivery of Totnes from GRIP 0 to GRIP 7 on time and under budget. I also supported on other additional projects during this time including Heathrow PantoBot scheme which won a National Rail award for Cross-team collaboration.In this role I had delegated authority to authorise entering into principle agreement up to a value of £5mil. Show less A secondment looking after a portfolio of projects & their successful delivery, through project interface & stakeholder management. The role came to an end upon a company reorganisation. It involved leading on integration of enhancement projects at Network Rails three major Western route stations. I was responsible with the sponsorship of a portfolio of third party & Network Rail enhancement schemes, accountable for their delivery for both internal and external clients. This role included the sponsorship & Network rail lead for a £1billion third party development at Paddington Station. The project involved two years of negotiating a variety of contracts & successfully influencing internal stakeholders that I was making the correct decisions on behalf of NR. I also made critical financial & safety decisions on behalf of Network Rail including negotiating & then securing additional investment in the railway from third party investors. I was required to resolve and prevent delay of third-party project’s when safety concerns arose, resolving these barriers through methodical planning & alternative measures so not to hold up the project.I led on a Programme of works looking to transform the three stations through financial control & integration management where many relied on another to be a success, this was achieved through priority planning & delaying or accelerating individual elements of the Programme. Day to day duties included managing & maintaining relationships, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and on budget. Responsibility for individual schemes budget and justification for overspends. Writing and preparing reports or presentations to exec boards either to present or on behalf of Directors, lead on negotiations with customers for the commercial & contractual terms on which schemes will be implemented. Whilst acting as the key interface between the customer & the projects team. The role also included direct line management of two people.
