  Since 2005 I have worked in the Security and Networks section within Infrastructure Division in CSO Cork. My role requires me to provide IT support and guidance to CSO business areas and external service providers. I was chosen especially for this role because of my advanced knowledge working in MS Excel.While working in Agriculture Output section I disseminated official statistics on Income in the Agriculture Sector in Ireland. These statistics were essential for policy makers within Ireland’s largest indigenous industry and measured its contribution to the national economy.I designed, created and implemented an Microsoft Excel based system to calculate and disseminate newly produced 'Regional Agricultural Accounts'. I researched and produced a report on Microsoft Excel standards with best practice recommendations in the Central Statistics Office. This was adopted by the management board and became policy within the department. Show less I worked on the preparation for the Census of Agriculture – 2000. This included building a register of farms. I worked on Census of Agriculture postal survey, processed returns, carried out follow up reminder projects, a phone call follow up for non-respondents and finally the dissemination of Census results. I also had sole responsibility for data collections, processing and dissemination of the Agriculture special surveys.
