  I led a summer team of instructors to safely teach children, ages 8-12, the basics of sailing using a fleet of optimist boats. They learned how to handle the sail, steer the boat using a tiller, upright a boat, and basic sailing and racing knowledge. I delegated responsibilities throughout my team such that they would learn and gain experience while also providing the children a fun and meaningful summer camp experience.
