Radio / Television Broadcast Engineer Supervisor (25R30)Responsible for planning program maintenance, equipment repair schedule, procurement and systems integration of audio / visual information, telecommunications, broadcast information technology systems, and supervision, training, and evaluation of twelve subordinates organized into three teams. Served as accountable property manager and inventory database manager for archived media. Responsible for preparation of long-range design, installation, maintenance, and test planning for equipment and facilities. During pre-deployment to Iraq; mass video archive needed to be planned. Due to the severe environment conditions expected I planned, designed, procured necessary equipment, and implemented a prototype DVD archive system with tapeless computer hard drive backups. This method was cost effective, saved 1/4th of connex space, and was not as sensitive to the extreme heat and sand. Supervised a 10% monthly inventory and annual wall-to-wall inventory. Ensured that proper operator / maintenance Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for hardware, software, and repair accountability were established and maintained. I assessed client needs, provided information or assistance, resolved their problems, and/or satisfied their expectations through oral, written communication, or hands-on correction. Responsible to build and lead teams consisting of both contractors and government personnel. Supervised three Quality Assurance Evaluators (QAE) who each were responsible for each teams assigned equipment and materials. Show less
