Carry out quality assurance for contributed materials and legacy metadata. Work with the Website Development team to design and maintain the MDH web site, user interface and database links for the project. Assist with designing pathfinders to help researchers navigating complex topics, setting up custom queries, creating FAQs and online help screens.Work with Missouri cultural heritage institutions and the MDH Metadata Cataloger to ensure standards and best practices in metadata and digital images are met for all types of projects. Work with the LSTA Digitization Grants manager and vendors to ensure receipt of appropriate products that have been out-sourced. Work collaboratively with colleagues to draft an RFP for newspaper digitization and participated on committee reviewing the vendor submissions.Work with the MDH Management and MDH Working groups to make sure that proposed changes to the site's underlying structure and the project's workflows are technically feasible and meet the primary goals of the project.Monitor professional trends and provide consulting to the state librarian, library development director, and grants manager on technical issues and standards in digitization.
